November 2021 - Spanish Fork Happenings

Blow Out Blow Dry Bar is coming soon!  They are finishing up construction and hoping to open at the beginning of December.  They specialize in blow outs, up-do’s, wedding and high school dances, bridal makeup, extensions, and more.  Blow Out is located next to Handel’s Ice Cream (coming soon) and Harbor Freight.

Board Games and Beyond opened in October and is located at 824 Expressway Lane between Ross and the old KMart building.  They have Pokemon cards, board games, and everything in between.

Hotworx gym is opening soon at 443 E 1000 N.  According to their Facebook page, “HOTWORX is a virtually instructed exercise program created for users to experience the many benefits of infrared heat absorption, while completing a 30-minute isometric workout or 15-min High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) session.”

Sally Beauty opened and is located in the Hobby Lobby parking lot by GOAT haircuts.

A restaurant is going in by the Maverik and next to Black Rifle Coffee company that was announced last month.  It’s not set in stone yet and I want to make sure of it before announcing it here.  Once I know with certainty, I’ll post about it here.

Hive Parks is working hard to be ready to open in January 2022.  They are remodeling the old ShopKo building.  Hive is an indoor trampoline park and will feature a zip line, interactive climbing wall, dunk area, and more.

Festival of Light will open on Thanksgiving and run until New Years Day every night from 6-10pm.  This light show set to music has become wildly popular in the past few years.  One suggestion was to come right before closing to avoid the long lines.  It is $8 per vehicle to get in.  Follow me for a contest coming soon to give away some tickets!

The Winter Lights Parade is hosted by the Spanish Fork Salem Chamber of Commerce.  It will take place on Saturday (typically on Friday), November 27th at 7pm on Main Street.  Come see the floats, decorated cars, and Santa arrive to light up Main Street.  This is a great event for your business or family if you want to join.  Contact the Chamber of Commerce if interested.  I’ll be there so come say hello!

The real estate market has slowed down which is typical this time of year.  There are less interested buyers and sellers during the holiday season.  But I anticipate a full throttle attack on the market starting in January.  I can not emphasize this enough….if you’re wanting a break from the crazy bidding wars, THIS is the time.  Interest rates are still historically low and those are expected to rise in the first quarter of 2022.  Let’s seize the opportunity and get you into a home before the New Year!
