Old Navy is having their soft opening on Wednesday, August 11th at 5pm with the Grand Opening Saturday, August 14th at 10am.  The store will be the 1st to offer in store pant sizes up to size 28 in women’s.  There will be treats (while supplies last) and a performance by Heart N Soul dance studio on Saturday.  Old Navy is in the Canyon Creek shopping center between TJMaxx and the new hospital.

The Spanish Fork Farmers Market began last weekend and runs every Saturday from 8am-1pm until October 30th.  The new location is down the street from the city offices at 775 West Center Street. Come support local farmers and vendors!

Handles Ice Cream has started construction in the parking lot by Harbor Freight.  As things progress, I’ll keep you updated.

Spanish Fork City’s Public Night out is August 16th from 6-8pm at the North Park (1185 N 400 E).  You can meet police, fire, and EMS personnel and their vehicles while enjoying food and giveaways.

Don’t forget to vote in the Primary Election for two new city council members on or before August 10th!

In real estate news, the market is softening.  There are still homes getting multiple offers and over asking price but we’re not seeing the frenzy that we saw in the spring.  It’s important to have an agent that will keep you informed on how those changes affect you and keep expectations realistic.  There isn’t a drop in prices but things are leveling out which is what the market desperately needed.  We are still in a sellers market and we have a ways to go before the demand slows down but things are moving in the right direction!  Give me a call if you’d like to know more about the market.
