Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber of Commerce begins their farmers market this month. Spanish Fork’s market will be back at the old Thurber building this year at 40 W Main Street starting on July 26th from 8am-1pm. Salem’s market begins on August 4th and is from 4:30pm until dusk next to the new fire station. Come support local farmers and get fresh produce!
Nova Supports is opening an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) clinic for people with autism. Their new clinic is opening next week in Springville. To get more information, go to novasupports.com
Tabeyo Sushi has finally opened their doors at 459 E 1000 N and is open 7 days a week.

Food Truck Fridays continue throughout the summer and coincide with Sounds of Summer July 11th’s showing of Moana 2 at the City Park 49 S Main Street.
Utah County’s Fair begins early this year on July 30th and runs through August 2nd. The fair is free to the public but some events require you to purchase a ticket, like the demolition derby. Check out details here: https://www.utahcountyfair.org/schedule.php
Mapleton City’s Pioneer Days begins July 11th and ends on July 19th with the Helicopter Ping Pong drop and Fireworks in the Park (probably the best fireworks show in S Utah County). Events calendar can be found here: https://mapleton.org/about/pioneer_days/events/index.php

Ashton’s Burgers is remodeling Stan’s Drive In and hopes to be opened by Salem Days. They are currently hiring at ashtonsburgerbarn.com
Real estate is quickly becoming a buyer’s market after YEARS of being a seller’s market. With a flood of inventory compared to previous years, sellers are having to incentivize buyers by offering them money for closing costs and rate buy downs. But, don’t mistake this change with buyers not wanting to buy. They simply are choosing not to buy at this time with rates more than doubling from the Covid years rates. Unfortunately, we would need a negative large-scale event to get rates to come down to Covid times and I would hope that nobody wants that. You can, however, get the seller to contribute money to buy down your interest rate to make your monthly payment more affordable. Pair that with homeowners that have been in their homes for more than 10 years (averaging $350k in equity) and suddenly buying your next home doesn’t seem so daunting.
