Chicken Salad Chick is opening a Spanish Fork location before the end of 2026! While the exact spot isn’t confirmed, my best guess is the shopping center next to Betos, right across from Cinemark. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it features a drive-thru like the Pleasant Grove location.

Spanish Fork’s City Council and staff have postponed the vote on amending Title 15 to permit data centers for another two weeks to refine the language and establish community safeguards. Meanwhile, applicant Volition has threatened to withdraw its proposal to pursue a faster approval process in a different city. I will continue to keep you updated on further developments.

Oak Village, a proposed residential community under development by an affiliate of the LDS church, will feature 110 single-family homes showcasing Colonial, Tudor, and Craftsman architectural styles. Situated at 100 South and Spanish Fork Parkway, the neighborhood will be positioned adjacent to the new Spanish Fork LDS temple.

Hosted by the Arts Council, the Harvest Moon Hurrah is a free, family-friendly community event taking place at Spanish Fork City Park on Friday, Sept. 11, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Bring the whole family to enjoy live musical performances, fun children’s activities, displays from local artists, and a variety of food trucks.

Food Truck Fridays are still happening all through September at City Park! Head on over and grab a bite from the local food trucks before summer wraps up.

Three seats are up for election on the Nebo School Board this November. Ballots will arrive by mail in mid-October, and I strongly encourage everyone to participate. Since the school district allocates a major portion of your property taxes, your vote directly impacts local funding decisions. There is a widespread desire for change on the current board, with voters seeking enhanced transparency alongside clearer communication between school leadership, families, and students. Please take time to research your district and candidates, then make sure to cast your ballot—every single vote counts in this election. While my own district isn’t on the ballot, I would cast my votes for Joseph Earnest and Perry Ewell if I could.

Here is the latest update on the real estate market: activity has slowed significantly for both buyers and sellers.
