Brookers Founding Flavors Ice Cream: A new location is opening in Spanish Fork at 1289 N Canyon Creek Pkwy, previously occupied by Dirty Dough.
Fall Cleanup Initiative: The annual fall cleanup will run from October 4th to November 1st. Vouchers for the waste transfer station will be available for printing the week prior to October 4th at spanishfork.gov/cleanup.
Vintage Market Days Event: This event will take place from October 16th to 18th at the Spanish Fork fairgrounds, featuring over 130 vendors offering vintage items, antiques, clothing, and jewelry. Pressurized Irrigation System Shutdown: Spanish Fork City plans to shut down the pressurized irrigation system on October 14th. Residents are advised to winterize their systems and turn off their PI valves.
Lehi Bakery Expansion: Lehi Bakery is set to open a new store in Spanish Fork at 433 E 1000 N Ste 101, adjacent to Longhorn Steakhouse, before the end of 2025. They will offer a variety of baked goods including donuts, dossants, and cinnamon rolls.
Fit City Center Opening: The Fit City Center (recreation center) remains on schedule for a November opening. Memberships are currently available, and additional information can be accessed at https://www.spanishfork.gov/departments/parkrec/reccenter/index.php.
Spanish Fork Farmers Market: This market operates every Saturday from 8 AM to 1 PM at 40 S Main Street, concluding on October 25th.
Froyo Frozen Yogurt: A new Froyo Frozen Yogurt location is opening at 1106 N Canyon Creek Pkwy Ste 102; however, an opening timeline has not yet been announced.
Salem Farmers Market: The Salem Farmers Market will continue every Monday evening from 5 PM until dusk at 173 E 750 N, next to the new fire station, until October 13th.
Roxbury Juice Grand Opening: Roxbury Juice held its grand opening in Salem on Wednesday, October 1st, and is located at 833 N 350 E.
Mortgage Interest Rate Update: Despite a recent reduction in the federal fund rate, mortgage interest rates have experienced a slight increase. While the period leading up to the rate cut was optimal for locking in rates, the current market still presents opportunities for home buyers. Existing home sellers are adjusting their pricing and offering concessions to compete with new construction incentives. Buyer hesitation persists due to expectations of further rate drops.
