Spanish Fork Happenings May 2025

May 2025 - Spanish Fork Happenings

The Tilted Kiln opened on March 1st and is located in the old Wildflower Studios building at 1274 E Center Street. They feature “Paint Your Own Ceramics” and also offer a few potter’s wheel classes.

Food Truck Friday’s are back every Friday at the City Park (49 S Main St) from 5-8pm.  Each week they feature a new lineup and you can see who will be there at https://foodtruckleague.com/

A new light is almost completely installed at 300 E and Center Street.  The goal is to move cars off of Main Street and onto 300 E to help alleviate traffic.  Main Street will be changing in the next couple of years and the city needs an alternative road to carry the burden.  Details here: https://udotinput.utah.gov/spanishforkmain

Edge Homes just got final approval from the city council to develop Whispering Pines at approximately 3600 E Powerhouse Road.  The development will feature 315 townhomes, 240 condos and 24 single family homes (579 units) that back up to The Oaks at Spanish Fork golf course.  A bridge will be built over the railroad tracks to connect to Highway 6 for the commercial buildings in that area.

Spring Clean Up begins May 3rd and runs through May 31st.  Go to Spanish Fork City’s website to get your voucher which you will take to the transfer station with items to dispose of.  For a full list of items and how to participate, go to https://www.spanishfork.gov/departments/public_works/garbage/cleanup.php

Spanish Fork City’s Health and Wellness Fair will be on Saturday, May 17th at 9am.  Come to the Sports park for lots of prizes and vendors that encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Tabeyo Sushi is so mysterious.  They don’t have FB, IG, etc.  At this point, I think the sushi chefs are still out catching the fish, one by one. If you know anything about this cryptic restaurant and when they’re opening, please let me know!

Sounds of Summer begins in June with movies and musical events in the City Park every Friday until the end of July.  Come see movies like the Wild Robot and Moana 2 or support your local bands in the park.  More information here: https://www.spanishfork.gov/events/summer.php

The real estate market in Utah County remains active but has shifted from the frenzied pace of previous years. Inventory has increased, giving buyers a bit more breathing room, though well-priced homes—especially in desirable areas—are still moving quickly. Interest rates have moderated a bit, helping bring some hesitant buyers back into the market. Sellers are adjusting to the more balanced conditions, often needing to be strategic with pricing and presentation. Overall, it’s a healthier market with opportunities for both buyers and sellers, especially with the continued growth and demand throughout the county.
