Poppy Books and Gifts is having their grand opening Saturday, December 3rd at 10am.  The first 50 people in line will get a free canvas tote bag.  Poppy Books is an independent bookstore with various genres and unique gifts.  Their hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-7pm and they are located at 56 W 200 N Spanish Fork.

 

Silent Santa is a one-on-one event with children and adults with sensory sensitivity to spend quiet time with Santa on December 3rd from 10am-12pm.  Appointments are required and can be made online at https://www.spanishfork.org/events/silent_santa.php 

 

The Lemon Tree Bakery makes pies, macaroons, sour dough and sweet rolls from a bakery in her backyard.  Simply follow her on Instagram at thelemontreebakery.sf where she will post what she is offering weekly, then she will give pick up instructions!

 

Shop with a Cop is happening on Saturday, December 10th at 6am.  Kids and police officers from all over will be driving from Super Walmart up Highway 6 to the Festival of Lights with their lights and sirens on.  If you don’t know what’s happening, it can be alarming!  If you would like more information regarding qualifying for this event, speak to your local elementary school.

In real estate news, interest rates have leveled off after falling a few weeks ago.  This is fantastic news!  When the Feds met in November and raised the federal fund rate to curb inflation, mortgage rates went down.  Remember, the federal fund rate and mortgage rates are not the same!  Home prices are stabilizing and buyers are in a great position to get help from sellers for closing costs or buying down their interest rate.
